Our geranium essential oil is extracted from the Pelargonium graveolens plant. As a group, there are over 280 recognised members of the Pelargonium family spread across the world.

Pelargonium graveolens is originally an African species, found growing naturally in areas such as South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It possesses dainty pink flowers and grows up to 4 feet in height. However thanks to its popularity and diverse array of uses it is now cultivated around the world. It may even be purchased as a tender garden plant here in the UK.

What makes Pelargonium graveolens so valuable is revealed by its common name: the rose-scented geranium. The essential oil from rose-scented geraniums has long been used in fragrance production and it is considered by many to be one of the most important ingredients in the industry.

Besides its use to create delicate floral fragrances, soaps and other cosmetics, it has long been popular for aromatherapy.

Our geranium essential oil originates from Egypt, where it is extracted by steam distillation before bottling and transportation to our warehouse. Our manufacturer is a registered member of the International Federation of Aromatherapy to ensure the finest quality oil every time.

Geranium Essential Oil (Pelargonium graveolens)

+Directions

Add 1 drop per 25ml carrier oil for massage. Add 6 drops to the running water of a bath.

Caution: Do not take internally or apply undiluted on the skin. Avoid eye contact. Seek advice if you have a medical condition or are pregnant.

Store in a cool, dark place.
